When "Yes" Leads To Something Bigger

Two years ago, I stepped out in faith and cast my net into the sea of “what if.”

I didn’t know what would happen. I didn’t know who might respond. I only knew that I was being invited to take a small step forward.
Michelle was the very first person to say yes to what is now known as The Tribute Project.
What started as a quiet invitation has grown into something deeply meaningful: handwritten letters, original artwork, shared stories, and a growing community of individuals choosing to honor their experiences in a tangible way.
In Episode 10 of A Time To Speak Podcast, Michelle shares more of her journey — and her personal testimony.
She also reflects on her experience, what led her to participate, and what it meant for her to take that first step.
If her words resonate with you, please know this: you are not alone.
Sometimes listening to someone else’s story helps us recognize our own. Sometimes it reminds us that it’s okay to move forward — even when we don’t have all the answers.
I invite you to watch the full episode on our YouTube Channel
And if Michelle’s story speaks to your heart, you’re also welcome to participate in The Tribute Project by sending in your handwritten letter. All the details are available on our website.
Thank you, Michelle, for being the first to respond — and for continuing to share your story so others can feel seen, supported, and less alone.
